Price Rise / Price Hike

Price Rise / Price Hike

Price Rise is the bane [সর্বনাশ] of modern world. Price of essential commodities [পণ্য] go on rising every day despite the professed and genuine efforts of the government. The main reason for sky-rocketing of prices is the unabated [অক্ষুণ্ণ] rise in population at an alarming rate. As compared to China, Bangladesh has failed miserably in controlling her population. Another reason for price-rise is the huge loss of man-days as a result of frequent strikes and lock-outs in the industrial units. This leads to short fall in production. An average Bangladeshi has considerably awakened to the reality of raising his living standard in the matter of eating, housing, medical aid and providing education to his children. He is also fond of recreation through T.V., V.C.R cinema, transistor etc. All this expenditure pushes up the rate of living. The hoarders, stockers and black marketers also push up prices by causing artificial scarcity [অভাব] in the market. The government should take some drastic [আমূল] steps to keep prices under control.

My favourite Teacher

My favourite Teacher

John Smith is my favourite teacher. He teaches us English. He is 30 with a good health. He has many rare [বিরল] qualities. First of all, he is a brilliant scholar with a sound academic career. He is an M.A in English. Secondly, his method of teaching is very easy and lucid [সুস্পষ্ট]. Thirdly, he has a strong, clear and pleasant voice. Every day he teaches us in a new style. He can make any grammatical problem easy. He knows well how to increase curiosity [কৌতুহল] of the students. Moreover, his pronunciation is good and he speaks English with a foreign [বৈদেশিক] accent. In his class, he creates the right environment for learning. We never feel uneasy in his class. Rather, we feel encouraged [উৎসাহিত] in his class. He is very well behaved and co-operative. He is never rude [অভদ্র] but friendly with his students. If any student fails to understand any grammatical problem, he then and there helps the students to understand it. He is very kind hearted to the poor students. Besides, he is honest, sincere and dutiful. He is very strict to law and to his principles. He has left a permanent impression in my mind. He is my best teacher, guide and friend.

My Aim in Life

My Aim in Life

Aim in life means to choose a profession for future life. Man is the best creation of Allah. He cannot run his life towards the path of prosperity [সমৃদ্ধি] and happiness without having a definite [নির্দিষ্ট] aim in life. Our life is like a journey and a journey must have a destination [গন্তব্য]. I am a student now. Like others I also have an aim in life. My aim in life is to become a model teacher. There are several reasons for my choice. It is a noble [সম্মানিত] profession. To me, teaching appears to be the best way to serve the society. A Good teacher is a potential [সম্ভাবনা] builder of a nation. A teacher is respected everywhere. Everyone salutes him. To be a good teacher I wish to prepare myself first. Now I am a student of class X. After passing the S.S.C and H.S.C Examinations with credit I shall get myself admitted into a renowned [বিখ্যাত] University for Honours and Master’s Degree. After completing my degrees, I will join in our village high school. Our village students do not get standard education. I will devote my life to spread literacy. I will make them aware [সচেতন] about the importance of education. I will encourage [উৎসাহ] them to send their children to school. A man's real success in life greatly depends on his proper choice of career. My long cherished [অভীষ্ট] aim in life is to bring a desirable change in human behaviour through education.
