Load Shedding

Load Shedding

Load shedding means the suspension [থামা] of supply of electricity for a short or long period of time. The people living in the areas supplied with electricity are quite familiar with the term load-shedding. There is hardly any area which is not affected by load-shedding. Nowadays [আজকাল] it has become a part of our daily life. There are many reasons for load shedding. The insufficient [অপর্যাপ্ততা] production [উৎপাদন] of electricity is the main reason of it. Misuse [অপব্যবহার] and illegal [অবৈধ] connection of electricity are the other reasons for it. It occurs [ঘটা] mostly at night because the demand for electricity is more than in the daytime. The bad effects of load shedding are beyond description [বর্ণনা]. Mills and factories, shops, hospitals etc. become paralysed [অকার্যকর] due to load shedding. The sufferings of the students know no bounds [সীমাহীন হওয়া]. They suffer a lot of if it occurs at the time of their examination. The patients also suffer terribly [ভীষণ] because operation stops in hospitals for load shedding. Load shedding at night also encourages [উৎসাহ দেওয়া] the thieves. However, this problem should be solved at any cost. The concerned [জড়িত] authority [কর্তৃপক্ষ] must take necessary steps to stop it. More power stations should be established [প্রতিষ্ঠা]. Illegal connection and system loss should also be stopped. After all, there is no alternative [বৈকল্পিক] to be conscious [সচেতন] about the misuse [অপব্যবহার] of electricity.

First Day of School

First Day of School

The day a student goes to school for the first time is called first day at school. My first day at school is a memorable [স্মরণীয়] day for me. When my parents declared [প্রকাশ করা] the news of my schooling, I became very much excited [উত্তেজিত]. Then the expected [আশা করা] day came. I went to every member of our family and received blessings from all. I was in a very happy and cheerful mood. I went to school for the first time when I was only seven years old. My father took me to school for the first time. I was little nervous at the beginning. First I met with Headmaster at school. But his smiling face and gentle [মার্জিত ব্যবহার] words put me at ease [নিরুদ্বেগ].  He asked me my name. I answered politely [মার্জিত]. The headmaster was very pleased with my response. Then I was sent to class. My class teacher took me to the classroom and introduced [পরিচয় করাইয়া দেওয়া] to my classmates. My classmates were very much friendly. They received me very cordially [আন্তরিক ভাবে] and made friendship with me. The school broke up at 2 pm. My father again came and took me home. I left the school with a cheerful mind. That day was very remarkable [বৈশিষ্ট্য পূর্ণ] in my life.
