Space Travel

Space Travel

Space travel is a form of travel in which passengers enter space, the vast [প্রশস্ত] region [অঞ্চল] outside the protective [নিরাপত্তামূলক] envelope [আচ্ছাদন] of the Earth's atmosphere [বায়ুমণ্ডল]. Man’s curiosity [কৌতুহল] for knowledge has led him to explore [অনুসন্ধান] space. Space contains the planets, countless suns and galaxies. Man has been able to go to space and collect pictures of the sun, the planets and the moon. The first man made satellite Sputnik-1 was sent into space by Russia in 1957. Uri Gagarin of Russia became the first man to go into space. Man has landed on the moon and he is trying to find out the existence [অস্তিত্ব] of life on other planets. Telecommunication, weather forecasting, radio and television programmes etc. are all monitored by satellites in space. There are also military stations and spy satellites in space which pose [জাহির] a threat [হুমকি] of a nuclear war. This should be avoided and scientists should work for the benefit of mankind. People might explore the rest of the solar system and galaxy, learning more about the nature of the universe and potentially [সম্ভাব্য] leading to a discovery of life beyond [এর বাইরে] the boundaries [সীমানা] of Earth.
