War criminals are those persons who literally [আক্ষরিক অর্থেই] engaged [নিযুক্ত] in mass-murder [গন-হত্যা] and stood with wrong side. In 1971, our freedom fight took place. Some
people who are Bangladeshi by birth supported Pakistan and butchered [নৃশংসভাবে হত্যা করা] our innocent [নিরীহ] people. They were known as Rajakars, Al-Badr, and Al-Shams. We got
independence after 9 month’s long bloody war. In that battle, 30 lacks of our
brother sacrificed [উৎসর্গ] their lives and 2 lacks of our sisters
were raped. But, it is considered [বিবেচনা করা] excessive [অতিরিক্ত] if we compare the time length and victim
numbers. It happened because some unethical [অনৈতিক] countrymen of ours thought about their own benefits over our beloved
country. They helped Pakistani Army to brutalise [অত্যাচার] our innocent people. But, no punishment
was given until 2013. Some war criminals
fled [পালিয়ে যায়] abroad [বিদেশ]. Abdul Kalam Azad who was sentenced to
death is thought to be in Pakistan. Another, however, Abdul Quader Mollah, the assistant
secretary general of a Muslim party which collaborated [সহযোগিতা] with the genocidaires, the Jamaat e-Islami,
was given life imprisonment. But, general public of Bangladesh was not happy
about that. They want all of the Rajakars, Al-Badr, and Al-Shams to be
executed. For this, they arranged a protest at “Shabagh Chattor”. Later, it was
named “Shadinota Projonmo Chattor”. It’s a new movement [আন্দোলন] for our country. Young people have come
forward to eradicate [নির্মূল] all injustice [অন্যায়] by taking inspiration [অনুপ্রেরণা] from the freedom fighters of 1971. If they continue their good work, Bangladesh
will be Rajakars, Al-Badr, Al-Shams-Free one day.
