Eating the right
food helps one live longer. There is good evidence [প্রমাণ] that eating a healthy diet [খাদ্য] can reduce risk of illnesses such as
diabetes, heart disease, stroke and some types of cancer.
There are many ways to obtain [অর্জন করা] a balance diet. One thing to remember is that every individual is
different but here are few guidelines [নির্দেশিকা] that one can follow to put one in the right direction; they are eating
a variety of foods, choose foods low in fat, eat plenty of vegetables, use
sugars as little as possible. This is the basis [ভিত্তি] of the food pyramid. While trying to eat healthy, proper intake of
vitamins and minerals is just as important. One
needs to eat a range [পরিসর] of foods to get all of the nutrients [পরিপোষক পদার্থ]
and fibre [তন্তু] body needs. Breakfast is important so
one should not skip it. Aim to eat three balanced meals a day with healthy
snacks in between if one needs it.
