My grandmother is very old. She has
already crossed sixty. Her years have now bent [নত]
her back a little but have not affected [প্রভাবিত]
her activities. She is tall and slim [পাতলা].
She has grey hair. Her eyesight is quite good and she can read without obstacle
[বাধা]. Even at this age, she is very active and hard
working. Sometimes, we are surprised at her ability [সামর্থ্য].
She supervises [তত্ত্বাবধান
করা] all kinds of important jobs
in the family. She is very affectionate [স্নেহশীল]
and caring. We, her grandchildren, are attached [অনুরক্ত]
to her more than to our parents. She loves us very much. My father and mother
always seek her advice in all affairs [ব্যাপার].
She is the most respected lady in our colony. Young and old women also come to
her for advice. In the afternoon, many women flock around her. Sometimes, she
tells them her own experience. They listen to her with respect. When we were
little kids, our grandmother was a great source of joy. We used to wait eagerly
[আগ্রহের সাথে]
for the night because at night she would tell us stories. We all love her very
much and we are thankful to Allah for such an affectionate [স্নেহশীল]
grandmother.
