Through the newspaper, we come to know about politics, economics, culture [কৃষ্টি], literature [সাহিত্য], games and sports of the whole world. It bears [বহন করা] the sign of good taste and wisdom [জ্ঞান]. It plays a vital [অপরিহার্য] role [ভূমিকা] in mobilising [গতিময়] public opinion [মত] on various [নানাবিধ] national issues [সমস্যা]. By reading a newspaper, we can keep pace [গতি] with time and enrich [সমৃদ্ধ] the arena [সীমা] of knowledge [জ্ঞান].

What is more important is that reading the newspaper we can enhance [বাড়ানো] our knowledge of language and improve [উন্নত করা] our power [শক্তি] of thinking [চিন্তা].
