Bayazid's Devotion to His Mother

One night, the boy Bayezid was busy in studies. His ailing [পীড়িত] mother was sleeping. All on a sudden, his mother woke up, raised her head and told her son to give her a glass of water. Bayezid went to the kitchen to bring water. But he found the pitcher [কলসী] empty [খালি]. He searched for water here and there, but in vain [নিরর্থক]. He decided to bring water from a nearby fountain [ঝরনা]. He took the pitcher and went to the fountain. He came back, filling the pitcher to the brim. He poured water into a glass and went to his mother. But he found that his mother was asleep again. He didn't want to disturb [বিরক্ত] his sleeping mother. He remained [থাকা] standing beside his mother's bed. His mother awoke in the morning and saw her son standing beside her bed. She embraced [আলিঙ্গন] her son with deep love and prayed to God for her son.

Moral:

1. A prayer of a mother for a devoted child is always accepted by Allah.

2. There is nothing above the mother in the world.

3. There is nothing as sweet as a mother.
